Mac Application Review: Lock Screen 2

Remember how the iOS platform went from the small iPod Touch/iPhone screen to the tablet with the iPad? How everyone thought that this device would be unsuccessful, and it managed to live up to the Apple name, “Simple. Intuitive. Fun.”  Well, iDevelop co., ltd. has come up with an application called Lock Screen 2 which is taking the Lock Screen to a whole new device — the Mac. Once launched on the Mac an icon will appear on your menu bar. Clicking it will show 4 items: Lock (Command+L), Preferences, About Lock Screen, and Quit. Most likely before getting to the application you would want to change your preferences to suit your needs/demands. At the Preferences task pane you can launch it at startup, change your background, add sound, and tons of other things. Now to activate the application you can go click the lock icon and choose lock, or the keyboard shortcut, Command+L. Now once your in the app your see that when you use the arrow keys or mouse the slider doesn’t seem to move, but have no fear just run your finger from left to right on your keyboard, much like a real keyboard. Overall, this application is VERY cool, and that’s why it has become the #1 free app in the Mac App Store, and therefore I give it 3.9 stars.
