What to Expect in iPad 3? Breakdown of Main Features | March 7, 2012
Tuesday, February 28, 2012 Apple send out their invitations for the "iPad 3" media event. Ever since the madness occurred after the iPad's release, rumors and pictures have been flooding the Internet on how it will look. In this post, I will be going over the most features that I find interesting rumors and predictions. The iPad 3 will, well it's predicted to, have: a faster processor, better front and rear cameras, 4G LTE connectively, possible no 'home' button, and possible a different back color/material. Below I will cover each feature and give you guys a breakdown of each feature.Retina Display: The much anticipated feature that has everyone talking is a Retina Display on the iPad 3. This would provide a high-density panel, and when put to the iPad 2 you can see the difference. The iPad 2 being a 1024x768 vs the iPad 3 with 2048x1536. Check out the screenshot on the left for a better understanding.
Faster Processor: Now for the faster processor people are undecided. Reason being, Apple has always bragged about their amazing battery life and adding a A6 processor vs a 'quad-core' would be the more smarter idea. But hey it's Apple they always surprise us with something up their sleeves. I predict they'll either add an A6 processor or add nothing due to the fact the the battery life will be drained from the Retina Display, and a quad-core processor? Doesn't sound much Apple like...
Improved Front & Rear Cameras: Ever since people were re-introduced to the idea of "FaceTime" people haven't been satisfied with the quality camera. But hopefully Apple heard the complains and will improve something that was calling to be changed since the iPad 2's launch. Rumors state the front-facing camera, will come in a VGA quality and Apple hopes to increase the rear camera to HD, being the same found in the iPhone 4S.
4G Connectivity (Verizon & AT&T): Apple's iPad has being leading the line in tablets since it's release but something they haven't been able to catch up to is the wireless technology in other tablets. (That's because they come out with several models within a small time frame and the iPad/iPhone doesn't come out that often) Anyways, rumors also state they will be coming out with 3 favors: Wifi, 3G, and now 4G.
Different Back Color/Material & No Home Button?: Ever since Apple has sent out their invites to the iPad 3 event, people have noticed that the back of the iPad is a different color and it has a golden brush type of look. While inspecting it, people also noticed that there is no home button, now people have been going back and forth on this news saying the iPad is on landscape mode.
Hope this helped you understand each feature better and hopefully grasped the 'rumors' in one sitting. Check out the video below demonstrating and explaining my thoughts and feelings.
