Apple's New iPhone 5 Announced!

Apple's new iPhone has a larger screen, LTE wireless speeds, A6 processor, and knowing Apple, is more thinner and lighter. The new iPhone 5 is NOT $800 but a mere $199 and you can get your hands on it September 21 (USA). With what could've been not the brightest decision was removing the traditional 30-pin dock connector and replaced it with connecting your iPhone with a power cables, stereo docking stations, and other meanings of charing; this is new smaller connector is called Lightning. The unfortunate news is if you have a dock connector or any other iPhone accessories (iDocks, cases, etc.) they will not work. The cost of this is still unknown. Now before you go all crazy let me tell you why Apple made this decision. According to Apple, they're making this change because Lightning is more durable, and saves space for other stuff in the phone. A bigger screen for the iPhone 5 was no surprise, Apple changed the display from a 3.5" display to a 4" display. Now, as always, Apple will continue selling older models of the iPhone but merely changing the price; the iPhone 4S is $99, iPhone 4 $0. Back to the iPhone 5, it has a new Apple designed chip (A6) that allows users to use applications with a more faster experience.

Now that phone will also work with LTE connections, and now you can FaceTime over your cellular reception. Apple also changed the front facing camera to 720p!

Apple also added a new feature to their Camera app and that's taking a panorama phone but just moving your phone along the scene and the device will automatically stitch it for you. Even though this event wasn't all that exciting since the products were practically leaked before the Keynote, I would say nonetheless the event was a success.

-Thanks for reading and are you going to get the new iPhone 5?
