The New iMac

On May 3, 2011 Apple announced the brand new iMac's. Now its not what's different on the outside but in the inside. Now with a quad-core processor in every model, Thunderbolt, FaceTime HD camera, and 3x faster graphics. All the iMac's come out with quad cores, as mentioned before, with either a Intel Core i5 or i7. This makes doing everyday tasks such as looking up pictures on iPhoto or editing a movie on iMovie.
The next change is an upgrade in the iSight camera. Now, if you look at any Macintosh machine you will see that the camera quality is pretty deceit and could be better, and in the new iMac solves this problem with a 720p camera. Why have a HD camera if you don't have a processor that can keep up with it? The new iMac's also come with a AMD HD graphics processor that gives up graphics performances up to 3x time faster than the pervious iMac. So therefore HD videos look absolutely incredible. And last but not least is a new port called Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt is a new technology that allows you to connect external drives such as flash drives, external hard drives, etc. with data transfer rates up to 20x faster than USB 2.0 and 12x faster than FireWire 800. On the 21.5-inch iMac there is one Thunderbolt port and on the 27-inch there are two ports. And finally, Apple gives you the choice between a magic mouse and a magic trackpad this is good because not only can you choose but you have a clutter-free workspace.
